How it started...

Mumu Vintage began the way the best things do — by accident. Laura and Elizabeth
met as new moms with kids around the same age, two people who kept landing in the same
rooms until a secondhand chair finally made them stop and really talk. They
clicked instantly. Before long they were spending every free hour thrifting
together, chasing the same beautiful, forgotten things.

Then Sing Out Loud #1!

Their first real adventure together was styling the band rooms for the Sing Out
Loud Festival, working side by side until one in the morning. Elizabeth left that
night thinking she'd just had the most fun she'd had in years. She trusted Laura so
completely that she sent her own child in her care — something she'd never
done with anyone. That's how fast they became a team.

Opportunity struck!

Then came the email: did we know anyone in the vintage world who might want to
open a shop in the little house behind Spinster's? Elizabeth texted Laura, who said
yes before she'd even finished asking. They painted the whole place in a single
week, and on their very first day the doors opened to more than they'd ever
imagined. It still feels a little like a dream — the good kind you get to keep.

Now & What's Next

These days, Mumu is a living, growing thing. Beyond the shop, you'll find Laura and
Elizabeth out in the world — styling events, popping up where you'd least expect
them, and still chasing the pieces that make a space feel authentic. The hunt
never really ends, and that's the joy of it. Whatever comes next — new finds, new
rooms, new collaborations — it begins the way it always has: two friends who can't
stop falling for beautiful things, and a community that loves them right back.
