A pair of little cobalt glass pieces on short pedestal feet, with the rim pulled up and folded into a deep four-point ruffle — the kind of shape that only happens while the glass is still soft. The blue is dense enough to read almost black in the folds and goes electric wherever light gets behind it.
There's a taper socket set into the middle, so they work as candle holders right side up. Flip them and the ruffled bowl does duty as a tiny dish. Both jobs, no compromise on either.
