A rectangular white porcelain tray with two square wells sunk into it, each holding a gilded sheaf of wheat tied with a ribbon, framed in a fine printed border. The wide margin around them is filled edge to edge with gold — crowns, arrows, diamonds, little stamped motifs in rows, the graphic-heavy look Georges Briard did better than anyone.
