A wide landscape-format hardcover in cornflower-blue cloth, completely bare except for NORMANDY in gold down the spine. The restraint is the whole appeal — nothing on the front board at all, just that blue.
Inside, big aerial color plates of the Norman countryside: hedgerow fields running down to the Channel, red-tiled villages threaded along a single road, church spires. Designed and produced by Éditions Minerva in Geneva, 1982, printed in Italy.
The oblong shape makes it a good base for a stack, and the spine reads clean from across a room.
