A white porcelain server moulded as a pair of shells joined side by side — each half a fluted scallop with the ribs running out from the hinge, divided down the middle so two things can sit together without touching.
Marked Japan on the underside. Nuts and olives, two dips, or lemon wedges and cocktail sauce beside a plate of shrimp.
