A white porcelain dish moulded as a scallop shell, ribs radiating out from a small hinge tab, with a straight-sided sauce cup built into one corner. All one piece, all one glaze, so the cup reads as part of the shell rather than an add-on.
Shrimp and cocktail sauce is the obvious answer. Crudités and dip, or olives and a place for the pits, works just as well.
