A large platter pressed in the shape of a fish, worked with real commitment to the details — every scale textured across the body, fins and tail rayed like a folded fan, and an eye and gill line molded into the face. Clear glass throughout, so it picks up whatever's underneath it.
Fish platters had a serious moment in the seventies and eighties, and this is one of the big ones — a proper serving piece rather than a side plate.
Built for a whole roasted fish, and just as good under crudités, a cheese board, or a pile of shrimp on ice.
- Era: Late 20th century
- Material: Clear pressed glass
- Condition: Excellent vintage — light wear consistent with age, no chips to the fins or tail
- One-of-a-kind: Yes
