A round lacquer plate with a wide vermilion well and a single crane at the center — wings up, legs trailing, drawn in black and outlined in fine gold. The border alternates black and red triangles, each one combed with hatching, and a thin metal band finishes the rim.
Wall display, a dresser catchall, or under a candle where the red can do its work.
